Company Profile

Company Overview

Kansas City Cancer Center is dedicated to one overarching goal – providing the highest quality care for cancer patients. Our approach to fighting cancer is based on our belief that patients do best when they receive care close to home, family and friends; when they have an entire team of medical specialists and support staff working together on their behalf; when they have access to the latest research, technologies, treatment programs and drug therapies; when their medical community supports cancer strategies, early detection initiatives and post-treatment programs and activities. We believe that to beat cancer, we must treat more than the disease itself. We must treat the whole person by being responsive to how cancer impacts all aspects of their lives. This is what we believe. And this is what we do.

With eleven convenient locations in the metropolitan area, Kansas City Cancer Center (KCCC) provides patients access to advanced and comprehensive cancer care close to home. More physicians refer patients to KCCC than any other cancer care provider in the area. And KCCC only treats cancer, so you can be sure that all the efforts are focused on early detection and treating this disease.

The practice is led by an expert and committed team of physicians, nurse practitioners and oncology certified nurses. The oncologists at KCCC have extensive training in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Hematology and Radiation Oncology.

In addition to their specialized skills, patients and families benefit from their honesty, genuine compassion and understanding of the physical, emotional and social impacts that can occur with a cancer diagnosis. KCCC’s PET and CT scanning is dedicated exclusively to oncology imaging, providing specific information to make informed choices.

Company History

The original practice opened in the spring of 1980 as the Davidner Clinic with Dr. Mark Davidner, one nurse, one front office and one lab employee. In the fall of 1980, Dr. Robert Belt joined the practice. Within five years the practice grew to three clinical sites. The growth has continued and today KCCC offers patients multiple practice locations throughout the Kansas City area. Currently there are nine clinical sites, four with integrated cancer services including medical oncology, hematology, diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy.

Our focus has always been dedication to quality care for our patients and their families. KCCC is continuously evaluating ways to better meet the needs of our patients. As part of our commitment to patient satisfaction, our physicians and nurses strive to form a partnership with our patients and their families. A comfortable and caring team environment helps our patients cope with their cancer diagnosis.
