The Position at a Glance

• Lead cardiology services: Oversee outpatient, inpatient, and consultative cardiology care
• Collaborate across departments: Work closely with primary care, hospitalists, the emergency department, and imaging teams for seamless, integrated cardiac care
• Set standards of practice: Partner with VCU Health cardiology providers to establish and implement high standards of care across the health system
• Lead growth: Play a key role in expanding cardiology services, including advanced imaging, electrophysiology, and specialized patient populations
• Teach and mentor: Educate cardiology residents and fellows on rotation in the hospital
• Minimal call: Phone-only coverage

Who Should Apply

• Board-certified in Cardiology
• Active Virginia medical license, or eligibility to obtain one
• DEA and controlled substance licenses, or eligibility to obtain them
• At least 5 years of clinical experience, with preference for demonstrated leadership in cardiology
